I am descended from the Conrad and van Beverhoudt families in St. Croix and have recently gotten into genealogy. I have been somewhat distressed to find that there are precious few resources and blogs about this particular area for genealogists, so I figured I'd start plugging the hole. Since this is my first entree into blogging as well, it'll be a fun ride.
Although I am new to genealogy, I am not new to research. I spent 18 years as an Astrophysicist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center with the Hubble Space Telescope, taught college calculus and statistics in the evenings for 20 years, and currently make a living writing proposals for Government contracts. I hold certifications from the Project Management Institute and the Association of Proposal Management Professonals.

With all this analytical training and practice, it’s no wonder I spend a lot of time doing analysis and statistics on the genealogical data I find.
I live near Washington DC with my wife, Dee, and 3 cats: Pandora, Castor, and Pollux.
